Job Summary
Research, design, develop, modify, and verify mechanical components and modules for medical devices within the New Product Development team. Translate design inputs into engineering specifications, produce subsystem-level designs, and prototype solutions to validate concepts. Support the technical engineering lead through component development, prototyping, benchtop testing, CAD work, and writing test protocols and reports. Create and refine engineering documentation, including Design History Files, while collaborating cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, and Project Management teams. Apply engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges and ensure products meet safety and efficiency standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in mechanical engineering practices and design principles
- Ability to create engineering drawings and models using GD&T and CAE tools
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with CAD tools, preferably Creo
- Experience communicating technical plans and information to cross-functional teams
