Job Summary
Senior Engineer, R&D responsible for supporting equipment in our R&D labs from procurement, installation, qualification, and ongoing support. Contributes to product design and development, fixture and equipment development including automation, and generates documentation such as IQ, OQ, FAT, SAT, URS, IU and tooling specifications. Works independently to plan and schedule activities to meet project timelines, supports capital equipment procurement and installation, participates in equipment troubleshooting, and serves as SME for tools and test equipment in the R&D labs. Collaborates with R&D, Quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing to ensure project success and contributes to audits. Applies mechanical, electrical, and controls systems knowledge to procure and introduce equipment for prototyping and product evaluation. Likely travel up to 20%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical or equivalent
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Lab or process equipment experience
- Automation experience
- Electronic validation systems (e.g. Valgenesis)
- Electronic data management system (e.g. PLM)
- CAD experience
