Job Summary
Senior Product Quality Engineer focused on Suspension, Brakes, and Alignment. Responsible for quality assurance/control, root-cause analysis, supplier coordination, and CAPA; use FMEA, PPAP, 8D, and DMAIC methods to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement. Partners with manufacturing, design, suppliers, and customer service to validate changes and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001. Role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, durability/performance testing, data analysis, and Lean Six Sigma-driven process optimization, with travel and in-person collaboration from Scout Motors’ Blythewood, SC location.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years in product quality and/or manufacturing engineering in the automotive industry
