Job Summary
Senior Engineer for precast concrete projects responsible for the design of complex projects and managing the engineering phase, interfacing with Project Management, Division, Engineering, design team, and General Contractor. May lead junior engineers, develop engineering schedules, provide training and mentorship, generate designs/drawings for precast concrete systems from architectural and structural construction documents, manage design and drafting across multiple projects, coordinate with Sales, Estimating, PM, and Operations as well as customers to produce engineering packages, complete submittals and design approvals, supply fabrication and erection details, resolve conflicts, and support revenue recognition. Actively participate in Engineering Standards, evaluate staffing/training needs, ensure field inspections with Observation Reports and track field repairs, and collaborate with Engineering Manager on monthly revenue reporting and month-end P/L statements. Requires PE licensure and a Civil Engineering bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of related experience; direct precast/concrete industry experience is highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
- PE licensure required
- Civil Engineering Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (structural emphasis preferred)
- Minimum 4 years related experience in precast concrete, concrete construction, civil construction, or related construction industry preferred
