Job Summary
Validate Ovation Digital Twin tools representing mathematical models of plant equipment for power generation simulators. Prepare heat balances, model boiler and turbine systems for test scenarios, and design regression testing cases. Develop hardware and virtual test setups, execute smoke and first-pass tests, and log defects in the tracking tool. Collaborate with developers and coordinate with testers while adhering to engineering standards. Requires minimum four years in coal/combined cycle power plant operation and thermodynamics knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Coal/Combined Cycle Power Plant operation/modeling
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Experience with various testing methodologies (functional testing, system testing, compatibility testing, performance testing)
- Knowledge and experience with agile development/testing methodologies
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's / master's degree in mechanical/chemical/electrical engineering
- Experience ISTQB certificate at Foundation level
- Experience performing stoichiometry calculation for various chemical reactions (for example fuel combustion)
- Knowledge of Distributed Control system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
