Job Summary
Senior Network Engineer responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex network and hardware issues, maintaining enterprise voice, video, data, and wireless platforms, and ensuring a highly available, documented network. Responsibilities include monitoring performance across data, voice, and wireless networks; triaging incidents and service requests; recommending and implementing network improvements; documenting designs and procedures; supporting disaster recovery; participating in on-call rotations; and working with on-site events and deployments. Must have hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, Palo Alto, and Ubiquiti technologies, cloud networking in AWS/Azure, WAN technologies including BGP, and network monitoring/packet capture tools; familiarity with data center concepts (VXLAN, DNS, storage), and scripting/automation (Python, REST APIs, JSON, XML, Git). Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences; demonstrated commitment to operational excellence; ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in a Network Engineering role
- CCNA (Required)
- CCNP (Strongly preferred – ENCOR + concentration exam)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, Palo Alto, and Ubiquiti technologies
- Experience with cloud networking in AWS and Azure environments
- Knowledge of WAN technologies, BGP, and telecommunications providers
- Experience with data center environments, including VXLAN, virtualization, DNS, storage, and environmental systems
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Microsoft Teams Voice
- Exposure to automation and scripting using Python, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and Git
