Job Summary
Senior MSSQL DBA engineer role focused on modernizing and supporting enterprise MSSQL database environments. You will participate in daily administration, incidents, change requests, monitoring, and troubleshooting; implement and optimize high-availability, disaster recovery, and cloud migrations; ensure data protection and compliance; contribute to the database vision within Agile teams; and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Key skills include MSSQL on Windows, Always On, replication, clustering, T-SQL scripting, PowerShell, cloud (AWS/Azure), automation, and experience with open-source databases and BI tooling (SSIS/SSRS). Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher and 7+ years of IT experience in MSSQL database environments, with willingness to work in a hybrid office setting in Hebbal, Bangalore. Safety, IT governance, and data protection are emphasized throughout the role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Minimum seven (7) years of professional IT experience with MSSQL on Windows
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with database migrations to cloud environments (preferably AWS)
- Experience with high-availability solutions (Always On, clustering, replication)
- Experience with scripting using T-SQL and PowerShell
- Experience with database automation and operational tooling
- Willingness to work rotational shifts and weekend on-call support
- Experience with SQL Server upgrades/migrations in large-scale environments
- Knowledge of cloud database solutions on AWS and/or Azure
- Experience with SSIS/SSRS configuration
- Data protection, disaster recovery, and audit readiness
