Senior Engineer - Mechanical (Hybrid)

Senior Engineer – Mechanical at Oshkosh Defense designs functional, reliable, and cost-effective heavy-duty vehicle components. Performs engineering calculations, analysis, design or redesign, and development of components for existing and new vehicles. Provides integration and execution support for vehicle and component design, and may manage multiple projects. Collaborates with internal engineering disciplines and external suppliers; mentors entry-level engineers and technicians; ensures designs meet performance, safety, and reliability criteria; prepares layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material; supports production with technical assistance and documentation; maintains communication with suppliers and customers; hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two days working from home each week.
