Job Summary
Senior Engineer Mechanical for Commercial Systems & Applications (CPQ) responsible for administration and continuous improvement of the Morgan Body Builder configurator, supporting estimating and application engineering functions. Ensures accurate product configuration, pricing integrity, and technical validation of customer-specific requests to improve quote response time and reduce reliance on manual estimating. Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing MBB configurator configurations, updating product logic and pricing, implementing updates from engineering and estimating, troubleshooting configurator issues, expanding configurator capabilities, assisting in cost estimates and non-standard pricing, supporting design reviews for manufacturability, feasibility, and safety, and collaborating with engineering and estimating teams to validate complex configurations. Requires Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; strong mechanical aptitude; experience with configurator/ERP/pricing tools; cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, estimating, or product configuration
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings
- Experience with configurator systems, ERP systems, or pricing tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
