Job Summary
Senior Engineer Mechanical (Commercial Systems & Applications) oversees the Morgan Body Builder configurator (MBB), maintaining product configuration, rules, and pricing, and supporting estimating and application engineering to ensure accurate quoting and pricing integrity. Responsibilities include updating configuration logic and pricing, implementing engineering and estimating updates (alpha codes, pricing changes, new product features), troubleshooting configurator issues, expanding configurator capabilities, supporting non-standard customer requests, assisting with cost estimates and pricing development using BOMs and labor standards, improving quote turnaround time, validating manufacturability, performance, and safety of non-standard configurations, and cross-functional collaboration to verify configurations. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, estimating, or product configuration
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings
- Experience with configurator systems, ERP systems, or pricing tools preferred
