Job Summary
Senior Engineer responsible for electrical design of SPM machines, heavy equipment, and large electromechanical systems using AutoCAD Electrical; create electrical schematics and general arrangement; design control panels and safety circuits; select servo motors and drives; perform PLC IO mapping and field wiring; troubleshoot electrical systems; work with MCC/PCC/VFD panels; collaborate with cross-functional teams on project delivery; apply PLC programming (ladder logic, function block diagram); utilize AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks Electrical; leverage knowledge of IEC60617 and IEEE 315-1975 standards; familiarity with ATEX, CE, and UL certifications; require 5-10 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics; strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or equivalent
- 5-10 years of experience in electrical design
- 5-10 years of experience in PLC programming
- Experience with wiring design for panels, machine drives or industrial automation
- Experience creating electrical drawings, schematic drawings and electrical layout drawings
- Experience with wiring harness in SPM machines, control systems and heavy machinery
- Sound knowledge of PLC systems, control panel layouts, wiring routing
- Experience with PLC brands (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and SCADA software
- Hands-on experience with Electrical CAD packages (AutoCAD, E-PLAN or similar) essential
- Experience in Welding Industry, Industrial Automation Industry, Oil & Gas Industry, Electric Power Generation, Electrical Panel developers etc (added advantage)
- Proficient in Product Life Cycle Management (PLM)
- Experience in New Product Development (NPI) Full product cycle
- Strong collaboration with Mechanical and cross-functional teams
