Job Summary
Senior Engineer, Lab at WEKAIO Labs (on-prem) responsible for managing and supporting the physical labs infrastructure, including racking and cabling, building Linux server images, maintaining lab hardware and virtualization environments (VMware), monitoring and capacity planning, working with procurement and vendors, and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure optimal testing environments for enterprise-grade storage solutions. Roles involve hands-on hardware work in a data center setting, occasional US travel, on-call rotation, and contributing to lab process documentation and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of system knowledge
- Experience in on premise Operations, System Administration, or similar technical roles
- In depth knowledge of Computer HW and storage systems
- Experience in scripting languages (Python, Bash)
- Strong Linux administration experience (system-level troubleshooting)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (switches, VLANs, basic routing)
- Experience with VMware / virtualization environments
- Service-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Occasional travel to the US (1-2 times a year)
- Work occasionally at our data center in Petah Tikva
