Senior Engineer, IT Infrastructure Engineering (Data Center)

Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain highly available distributed systems while defining SLIs and SLOs to measure health. Architect and optimize end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, then reduce manual work by writing automation scripts in Python, PowerShell, or Java. Serve as the final escalation point for complex anomalies, utilizing command-line mastery to troubleshoot deep-system issues across hybrid on-prem and cloud environments. Develop the strategic roadmap for monitoring and observability, analyze resource usage for capacity planning, and ensure compliance with SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or CIS Benchmarks through regular security audits. Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote SRE best practices. Lead infrastructure projects from design through deployment, manage encryption protocols, and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Deep expertise and hands-on experience in multiple domains: Operating Systems (Windows and Linux), Enterprise storage, Backup (Veeam /Other solutions), Virtualization (Nutanix), hyper-converged systems, networking and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
- Strong proficiency in Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, DNS, VPN, SMTP)
- Experience in Security practices (SSL/TLS, SSH, encryption, LDAP)
- Experience in implementing configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible)
- Design and build experience in orchestration using Cloudbolt / Rundeck
- Expertise in building and maintaining code-driven infrastructure using Terraform for provisioning
- Combined expertise in Python, Shell, and PowerShell for advanced scripting and operational automation
- Experience evaluating and integrating AI-driven tools into existing IT infrastructure workflows to optimize operational efficiency and enhance automated processes
- Proven ability to lead infrastructure projects from design through deployment
- Experience building and managing physical infrastructure in on-prem or hybrid environments
- Experience providing technical guidance to external vendors and partners
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent skills in communication, documentation, and mentoring others
- Travel - limited 10%
- Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in the ATLANTA office
