Job Summary
Senior Engineer III leading and coordinating complex engineering projects at client site in Wichita, KS. Responsibilities include defining technical direction, developing detailed designs and implementation plans, mentoring junior engineers, performing advanced analyses and simulations, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations, collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams, implementing best practices to improve design quality and team efficiency, reviewing and approving engineering documents, conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses, identifying opportunities for process improvements, staying current with industry trends, and managing relationships with external vendors, contractors, and clients. Requires 7-10 years of engineering experience, strong CAD proficiency, leadership capability, budgeting experience, and excellent communication skills. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and pre-employment screening including background check and work authorization verification.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of engineering experience with a track record of leading projects and teams
- Expertise in specific engineering field or software (e.g., mechanical design, electrical systems, structural analysis)
- Proficiency in CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, Revit, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and project management methodologies
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with experience guiding teams through complex projects
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical abilities
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Experience with budget management, project scope, and resource allocation
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred)
