Job Summary

Senior Engineer II – Technical Support leads early engagement and field readiness for new product introductions (NPI), ensuring successful deployment of ASM tools at customer sites. Acts as a bridge between engineering, factory, and field teams to own installation, startup, knowledge transfer, and escalation support for new tools, including first-of-a-kind and first-in-region implementations. Works across demo labs, manufacturing environments, and customer fabs to support tool builds, validate readiness, and enable successful installations; collaborates with Global Product Support (GPS) and field teams to ensure performance, readiness, and independent support by regional teams. Travels internationally and domestically (minimum ~50%) and mentors/train Field Service Engineers to achieve full operational readiness and local qualification to independently support the tool.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field (Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science) or Associate’s degree in technical field with 6+ years in-fab experience
  • 3+ years of experience at ASM or directly related experience (ALD, PEALD, EPI, PECVD, CVD)
  • 5+ years of experience in the electronic or semiconductor industry (preferred)
  • Experience supporting tool installation, qualification, and ramp in semiconductor fabs
  • Knowledge of structured troubleshooting (hypothesis-based problem solving)
  • Familiarity with escalation management and field support models
  • Advanced electrical, mechanical, and overall system knowledge (hardware, software, process)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and familiarity with SAP
  • Strong communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (typically 50% minimum)
