Job Summary
The Senior Engineer II, SVT position involves designing and configuring network topologies based on customer requirements, ensuring optimal performance across wired and wireless infrastructures. Candidates must have expertise in Layer 2 switching including VLANs and STP, as well as Layer 3 routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP. Experience with multicast protocols and IP services like DNS and DHCP is essential, alongside managing network monitoring via SNMP. Successful applicants should possess excellent troubleshooting skills and experience across multiple vendor switches. The role requires strong customer interaction, documentation preparation, and advanced protocol knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of relevant experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols.
- Proficiency in multicast protocols and IP services.
- Experience with multiple vendor switches (Cisco, Netgear, Juniper, etc.).
- Skilled in CLI, SNMP, and UI-based configuration.
- Good understanding of PTP and AVB protocols.
- Ability to design and implement complex network topologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
- Experience in AV over IP environments.
- Familiarity with network automation tools
