Job Summary
Senior Engineer I Product Development will execute and support New Product Development (NPD), cost reduction, and sustaining initiatives with a focus on speed, quality, and coordination. The role requires strong mechanical and thermal fundamentals to support product design, validation, and electro-mechanical integration. Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to ensure timely engineering deliverables. Responsibilities include project planning, design calculations (thermal, machine design, fluid mechanics), design and engineering (proposals, concepts, validation for manufacturability and performance), prototype testing, data analysis, root-cause analysis, and ensuring compliance with UL standards. Will develop engineering documentation, closure reports, and maintain traceability. Apply DFMEA, DOE, and tools such as GT Suite, Mathcad, and Matlab; drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and innovation; work with Design, Procurement, Labs, Plants, Quality, and other functions to achieve on-time delivery and high quality. Required Qualifications
- MTech (Design / Thermal)
- 8-10 years of experience in Product Design and Development
- Hands-on experience in executing engineering projects with focus on product optimization, continuous improvement, and technical support
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, along with statistical data analysis
- Experience in applying technical understanding and design principles to product design and testing
- Experience with design calculations (thermal, machine design, fluid mechanics)
- Experience in project execution, problem solving and technical decision-making
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with MS tools and presentations
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
