Job Summary
Senior Engineer I, Manufacturing Sciences specialized in cell culture bioprocessing. Leads upstream GMP operations, transfers to manufacturing, designs and executes lab studies to improve process robustness, analyzes data, and serves as SME for investigations/CAPAs. Coordinates cross-functional teams across Technical Development, Engineering, and GMP Manufacturing Support, participates in change controls, process validation activities, and ongoing manufacturing campaigns; communicates insights to stakeholders. Requires hands-on mammalian cell culture expertise, ability to drive technology transfer, and leadership in complex scientific projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific or technical fields from an accredited college or university
- At minimum 4 years of directly relevant industry or industry-adjacent experience
- Familiarity with biopharmaceutical manufacturing and/or upstream processing
- Previous experience with design experiments, analyze data, and/or execute laboratory studies
- Willingness and ability to work on-site more frequently during training periods, critical projects, audits, etc., and rotating weekend work
