Job Summary
Senior Engineer for Bloom Energy's Mumbai-based HB Engineering team focused on testing and improving the performance and manufacturability of solid oxide fuel cell HotBox technology. Responsible for designing and executing experiments across product life cycle, running tests per protocol, collecting and analyzing data, and communicating results. Will identify new failure modes, coordinate with technicians and external vendors for test fixtures and fabrication, troubleshoot equipment anomalies, and drive corrective actions. Familiarity with DFMEA and design reviews is a plus; hands-on testing on projects is required; exposure to SolidWorks is a plus. Education: BTech in Mechanical/Production/Metallurgy; Master’s in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Material Science advantageous. Between 0-4 years of related experience; strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. Location: Mumbai, India. Safety, ethics, and fraud awareness are noted in company overview.
Required Qualifications
- BTech in Mechanical/Production/Metallurgy
- Master’s in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Material Science will be a plus
- Experience: 0-4 years in field as mentioned
- Hands-on testing experience
- Exposure to fuel cell technology desirable
- Experience or coursework in lab electronics (e.g., multimeter, borescope, Hi-Pot)
- Knowledge of materials/metallurgy and failure analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Team player with cross-functional collaboration
