Job Summary
Field Service Engineer role focused on servicing ASM semiconductor equipment at customer sites. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment; troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues; responding to escalations under time-sensitive conditions; working in cleanroom environments with strict safety protocols; communicating clearly with customers and internal teams; contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing; collaborating with engineering and global support teams; leading startup activities and mentoring newer engineers as you transition from Hillsboro training to an Austin-based startup site. Military background and hands-on experience with complex equipment, along with relocation to Austin and travel, are valued. The position offers growth into technical leadership and broader roles within a global high-tech environment.
Required Qualifications
- Military background with relevant technical experience (electronics, mechanical systems, avionics, nuclear, propulsion, or similar)
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex equipment or systems in operational environments
- Ability to follow structured procedures while adapting to real-world scenarios
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to perform under pressure
- Clear communication skills and team-oriented approach
- Willingness to relocate to Austin, TX after training in Hillsboro, OR
- Flexibility to travel as required
