Job Summary
Lead architecture, development, and integration of Embedded Linux BSPs for complex SoC-based devices, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews for a team of engineers. Develop and optimize Linux kernel-level drivers for networking, audio, video processing, and MIPI-CSI interfaces, while performing bootloader customization and board bring-up. Design multimedia pipelines for low-latency video capture, encoding, and real-time streaming using protocols like RTSP, RTP, and HLS. Enable efficient edge inference by integrating AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow Lite and ONNX Runtime, collaborating with hardware teams for offload. Define coding standards, enforce best practices, and ensure compliance with open-source licensing and security policies. Present design trade-offs to senior leadership and maintain comprehensive documentation for release notes and integration guides.
Required Qualifications
- deep expertise in Embedded Linux Board Support Package (BSP) development
- strong technical leadership
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Embedded Linux development
- at least 2 years in a senior or technical leadership role
- Strong expertise in board bring-up, bootloader development, and Linux kernel driver programming
- Solid experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, VLAN)
- Hands-on experience with audio frameworks (ALSA, PulseAudio) and video frameworks (GStreamer, V4L2)
- Proven experience with real-time audio and video streaming using RTSP/RTP
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffe) and optimization of AI workloads on embedded devices
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills
- Proficiency with debugging tools (gdb, strace, perf, Lauterbach) and version control systems (Git)
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow high-performing engineering teams
- Strong communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration
- Experience working in fast-paced, agile development environments
- A self-driven professional who balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution
