Job Summary
Senior Engineer, Electrical responsible for providing experienced engineering services to support operation, maintenance, and expansion of SaskEnergy’s electrical and instrumentation systems. Lead detailed engineering designs for complex multi-year projects, develop and optimize electrical design standards, manage multidisciplinary programs, deliver training, provide technical mentorship, oversee consultant design execution, evaluate and implement new technologies, ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements, and travel as required (including overnight stays). Requires a degree in engineering (electrical/electronics preferred), a professional designation in Saskatchewan (APEGS or eligible), eight years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, and effective teamwork and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics Systems Engineering preferred)
- Professional Engineering Designation registered to practice in Saskatchewan, or eligible to be registered with the Association of Professional Engineers of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
- Eight (8) years of industry experience related to the design, integration, and implementation of electrical systems in the oil and gas industry
- Demonstrated competency in electrical design, codes and standards that include problem solving and detailed project management skills
- Strong working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and the Provincial interpretations of applicable codes is considered and asset
- Ability to work on a team while building and maintaining effective relationships
- Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning
