Senior Engineer- Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

Manage assigned electrical design and engineering projects, defining scope, resolving technical conflicts, and ensuring compliance with production standards. Complete project tasks within estimated effort and duration while communicating schedule conflicts and resource needs to the project manager. Develop preventive maintenance programs for all electrical systems, select spare parts to maximize equipment availability, and coach maintenance technicians on electrical concepts and procedures. Assist in construction, commissioning, and qualification of equipment while generating and revising maintenance documentation. Support site goals by managing varying engineering projects and collaborating with the project team to resolve design issues and testing challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum BS. Degree in Engineering, Science, or licensed electrician
  • A minimum of 6years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing biopharmaceutical environment
  • Experience and knowledge of medium voltage and low voltage electrical systems
  • Experience with calibration programs
  • Technical background in process and manufacturing engineering
  • Strong analytical skills to synthesize business needs, manufacturing requirements, engineering elements, and technology inputs
  • The ability to lead and/or support multiple projects simultaneously

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Delta V, PLC, and SCADA systems
  • Literacy in computer operating systems and applications, including SAP
  • Working knowledge of bio or pharmaceutical processes, utilities, and facilities
  • Working knowledge of cGMP's for Maintenance in an FDA-regulated environment
  • Project Management experience
  • FPX certification
  • Six Sigma experience
  • Lean experience
  • Experience in green or brown field GMP MFG facility start-up including process systems, automation, utilities, facilities, and operations
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Equipment Excellence (ME2)/ Best Practices for Maintenance and Reliability
