Job Summary
Lead the design, test, and debugging of complex electrical hardware and embedded systems; create schematics, oversee PCB layout, and perform design reviews. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans; document results, design updates, and technical decisions. Collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Apply and improve design control, risk management, and documentation practices in a regulated product development environment. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a regulated industry
- Expertise in circuit design and simulation using SPICE, Altium Designer, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and standard communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, and SPI
- Experience performing product development activities in a regulated or documented design environment
