Job Summary
Senior Engineer – Drainage & Flooding to lead drainage design for major road and rail infrastructure projects in Queensland. Provide specialist input, lead design packages, and support multidisciplinary project teams across significant transport programs. Requires 7–15 years’ experience in drainage and flooding design, advanced capability with 12d (hydrology, hydraulic modelling, drainage design workflows), and strong knowledge of Australian Standards, Austroads guidelines, and TMR requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and experience in a consultancy environment are preferred. Occasional travel is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 7–15 years’ experience in drainage and flooding design
- Advanced capability with 12d including hydrology, hydraulic modelling, and drainage design workflows
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards, Austroads guidelines, and TMR requirements
- Experience delivering projects to client scope, budget, and timeframes
- Willingness to undertake occasional travel as project needs arise
