Job Summary
Senior Engineer (Digital Transformation) for the USAF Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Science, Technology and Engineering (AQR) to support the digital transformation initiative in Washington DC. Responsibilities include providing expertise on Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) implementation and policy, studying and recommending requirements and program documentation, delivering honest broker assessments for milestone decisions and key program issues, researching and analyzing program trends, conducting weapon-system/technology/cost trade-off studies, and developing policy and procedures governing Air Force acquisition engineering. Must have Masters in Engineering and 10+ years of DoD acquisitions experience, with Active Secret Clearance required. Desired MBSE tools experience with DOORs or CAMEO. Telework eligible with in-person meetings 3–4 days per week; when the Pentagon reopens, position may be 100% onsite. Location: Washington, DC (20001).
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in an Engineering specialty
- Minimum of 10 years of DoD acquisitions experience
- Experience developing software systems
- Active Secret Clearance
