Job Summary
Senior Engineer-Design responsible for design and drawings of powertrain components; tool design considering service life, manufacturability and costs; GD&T, Design FMEA, APQP/PPAP; design calculations per ISO/JIS/DIN; NC programs for tool processing; additive manufacturing; Technical Documentation, Data Base, Bench marking; Preparation and Co-ordinating with CFT for the documentation as per IATF 16949 requirements; New Product Developments in line with Customer requirements; consultation with Application Engineer, Analysis, and production; Casting coordination with other production sites regarding die design; determining costs and implementing procedures to reduce manufacturing costs; ensuring governmental regulations are followed during all steps of design; solving engineering problems and conducting statistical analysis; knowledge in internal combustion engine testing preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree: Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3-5 years experience
- Creo and CATIA V5 and V6 / Siemens NX
- IT systems (SAP, Windchill)
- HyperMill (CAM Software)
- Knowledge of ISO / JIS / DIN Standards for product design
- Design calculations
- Product design knowledge
