Job Summary
Senior Design Evaluation Engineer leading architecture, design, and development of embedded software for consumer audio devices. Lead firmware development for audio DSPs, SoCs, and microcontrollers (Qualcomm QCC, TI, NXP, ADI, Cirrus Logic, etc.) and integrate Bluetooth Classic, BLE, BLE Audio, and Wi‐Fi for streaming and multi-device use. Work on audio pipelines including ANC, spatial audio, beamforming, and low-latency streaming; implement and optimize codecs (SBC, AAC, aptX, LDAC, LC3, Opus); collaborate with acoustics, hardware, mobile apps, and cloud teams to deliver end-to-end user experiences; support board bring-up, RF/audio performance validation, and ensure compliance with Bluetooth SIG, Wi‐Fi Alliance, FCC, and CE; provide technical leadership and mentoring within the embedded team; explore emerging technologies like voice assistant integration and on-device AI/ML processing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science, Electrical/Electronics, or related field
- 6+ years of embedded software/firmware development
- C/C++ proficiency with assembly and Python scripting
- Hands-on wireless audio standards experience (A2DP, HFP, AVRCP, BLE Audio)
- RTOS experience (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, QNX)
- Shipping consumer audio devices from prototype to production
- Experience with ANC, beamforming, and echo cancellation
- Familiarity with TWS architectures and RF testing
- Strong debugging and instrumentation skills (JTAG, protocol analyzers)
- Knowledge of Bluetooth SIG, Wi‐Fi Alliance, FCC/CE certifications
- Cross-functional collaboration skills
- Mentorship/technical leadership

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical/Electronics, or related field
- 6+ years of embedded software/firmware development
- Strong proficiency in C/C++, with some assembly and Python scripting for automation
- Hands-on experience with wireless audio standards (A2DP, HFP, AVRCP, BLE Audio) and Wi‐Fi streaming
- Experience with RTOS platforms (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, QNX)
- Proven track record shipping consumer audio devices from prototype to mass production
- Experience with ANC algorithms, beamforming, echo cancellation, and wake-word/keyword spotting
- Cross-functional collaboration across acoustics, hardware, mobile apps, and cloud teams
