Job Summary
Senior Engineer in Cincinnati, OH to lead planning, design, and evaluation of wastewater and stormwater conveyance and utility projects, including relocations. Responsible for hydraulic modeling of conveyance systems, preparing design calculations, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates; managing project delivery from planning through construction; supporting field visits and contractor coordination; maintaining client relationships and ensuring project goals are met. Roles may include Engineer-of-Record, Technical Advisor, or Quality Control Reviewer to ensure technical integrity and compliance. Mentorship of junior staff and collaboration with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure operational success. Requires PE licensure and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, with 15+ years of experience and strong communication skills; opportunity for growth within a people-first culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering (or related field)
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure
- 15+ years of experience leading water/wastewater/stormwater conveyance projects
- Strong background in designing water/wastewater utility systems, pipelines, pump stations, storage
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Civil 3D, REVIT, and hydraulic/stormwater/process modeling software
- Experience developing project plans, addressing issues, leading client meetings, and delivering technical reports
- Ability to prepare design plans and specifications, and to seal them when appropriate
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to lead, develop, and present to build client confidence
- Collaborative and client-focused mindset; initiative and leadership in complex projects
