Job Summary
Program PLCs, barcode readers, HMIs, and robots while configuring systems and database settings for new cells and parts. Modify existing production equipment and conduct hands-on debugging, troubleshooting, and analysis of automation problems to provide alternative solutions for manufacturing challenges. Coordinate project controls activities to ensure timing, quality, and cost targets are met, and develop cost-effective specifications and standards for machine controls. Create and maintain written software program instructions, design new equipment, and ensure all layouts comply with local and national codes. Conduct system training for plant personnel and provide troubleshooting assistance to production and maintenance teams.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science Engineering – or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Willing to travel up to 30%
- Proficiency in PLC programming, robotics, machine vision and CAD
- Problem solving abilities
