Job Summary
Develop and implement testing and commissioning plans for complex transmission and distribution substation projects, ensuring safety and eliminating errors during the commission process. Coordinate the evaluation of system failures and appropriate resolutions to support operations on unplanned maintenance. Supervise, assign, and direct the work of other engineers while managing a preventive maintenance optimization program. Account for root-cause analysis and corrective actions relating to project commissioning. This role requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and five years of utility distribution/transmission experience. The position involves a hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and may include on-call responsibilities and emergency storm assignments.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Ability to work up to five days in the office if needed
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively
- Must have the ability to use computers effectively
- Must have the ability to write clearly/concisely
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline
- Minimum of five (5) years in utility distribution/transmission engineering
- Valid CT/MA/NH driver's license
- Must be available to work emergency storm assignment as required
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Substation Engineering, Power Systems, or related electric utility experience
- Substation equipment testing and/or commissioning experience
