Job Summary
The Senior Engineer, Cleanroom Metrology role involves collaborating with Materials Solutions Engineers and Research Scientists to enhance measurement and differentiation of thin films, defects, and surface topography using in-house metrology equipment. Responsibilities include performing film thickness and defect analysis, acting as a subject matter expert, improving Cleanroom efficiency, supporting experimental planning, and working with external labs for advanced defect measurements. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2+ years of experience in semiconductor fabrication, and defectivity metrology experience. Strong communication skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in physics, chemistry or related engineering field
- 2+ years’ experience in Semiconductor fab
- Defectivity metrology experience
- Experience working on engineering projects
- Ability to operate and interpret results from wafer metrology
- Knowledge of CMP modules in Logic and/or Memory fab
- Defect metrology experience - SPx, SEM review, defect classification with a Klarity
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in English
- Python/C++ programming skills
- Statistical analysis software skills (JMP, Minitab, SAS)
