Job Summary
Senior Engineer in civil/transportation design leading an interdisciplinary team on multimodal roadway projects in Minneapolis. Responsibilities include directing concept development, design review, bid package development, permitting, construction management, and developing construction documents using AutoCAD and MicroStation; for transportation design, signing and pavement marking plans, maintenance of traffic, and traffic signal plans using Synchro, Highway Capacity Software, MicroStation, and AutoCAD. Requires PE license in Minnesota, 10+ years of experience, 3+ years design/project management, and strong leadership and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering
- Professional Engineering license (PE/PTOE) in Minnesota (or ability to obtain)
- 10+ years of experience
- 3+ years of experience in project or design management
- A broad knowledge base in civil engineering
- Understanding of basic geometric design principles of transportation facilities and industry transportation facility design standards
- Proficiency in MicroStation (including OpenRoads) and AutoCAD (including Civil 3D)
- Experience coordinating utility, right-of-way, street lighting, traffic signals, and landscape and hardscape layout
- Experience developing construction documents and cost estimates
