Job Summary
Lead client liaison and support business development while coordinating project delivery, resources, and design documentation. Produce preliminary and detailed designs for temporary and permanent works, including operational infrastructure such as bridges and stations, ensuring integration with multiple engineering disciplines. Carry out design checking, technical reporting, and subcontractor coordination to develop erection schemes and specialist engineering methodologies. Conduct site inspections, provide technical support to site teams, and ensure temporary works are designed, checked, and constructed safely. Mentor junior engineers, support resource planning, and manage cost control, fee proposals, and project variations in compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, and RBG procedures.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Structural Engineering or Civil & Structural Engineering
- Familiarity with Eurocodes, DMRB and Network Rail design and assessment standards
- Proficiency in 3D structural design software, such as LUSAS, MIDAS, Strand7 or similar tools
Desired Qualifications
- Ideally Chartered with the ICE, IStructE or internationally recognised equivalent, or very close to achieving Chartership
- Familiarity with Highways, Network Rail and TfL assurance processes
