Job Summary
Lead client liaison and support business development while coordinating project delivery, resources, and design documentation. Produce preliminary and detailed designs for temporary and permanent works, including inspection, strengthening, and replacement of operational infrastructure like bridges and stations. Carry out design checking, technical reporting, and subcontractor coordination to ensure compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, and RBG procedures. Develop erection schemes, specialist engineering methodologies, and cost control strategies for fee proposals and project variations. Conduct site inspections to provide technical support to teams and mentor junior engineers on technical delivery and resource planning.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Structural Engineering or Civil & Structural Engineering
- Familiarity with Eurocodes, DMRB and Network Rail design and assessment standards
- Proficiency in 3D structural design software, such as LUSAS, MIDAS, Strand7 or similar tools
Desired Qualifications
- Ideally Chartered with the ICE, IStructE or internationally recognised equivalent, or very close to achieving Chartership
- Familiarity with Highways, Network Rail and TfL assurance processes
