Job Summary

Develop and maintain technical standards, guidelines, and best practices across projects and teams while engaging on national project delivery teams to ensure quality and mitigate risks. Independently perform environmental engineering tasks for thickening, dewatering, and thermal process projects, including analysis, modeling, design, and the production of engineering deliverables such as reports, plans, and specifications. Build client relationships to develop tailored technical solutions and mentor less experienced team members through guidance and knowledge-sharing. Work with limited supervision to lead execution of high-quality solutions and support the development of technical training programs within the practice.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically requires minimum of 5 years in assigned technical area related experience
  • A degree in Engineering, Science, Geology, or a related field with an emphasis related to the technical role required
  • This position assumes at least 50% of your time will be devoted to thickening, dewatering, and thermal process projects
  • Remote work from the continental U.S. is allowed; preferred location would be near one of our offices in the Western U.S.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test

Desired Qualifications

  • Typically will become certified in BC's Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) Framework and progress through the SMS competencies
  • 10 years of increasing responsibility in related thickening/dewatering/thermal process experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the planning, design and construction of thickening, dewatering, and/or thermal process projects
  • Task lead experience
  • Experience designing thickening, dewatering, or thermal process projects and preparing construction documents including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, technical memoranda, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports and documents
  • Strong aptitude for solving technical problems
  • Strong project or task management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, Project, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Has achieved or is working towards achieving professional license
  • Preferred location would be near one of our offices in the Western U.S.
