Job Summary
Senior Engineer (Bridge) responsible for designing, checking, and assessing bridges and other complex structures; focus on inspection and lifecycle management of existing assets; liaison with clients; mentoring junior staff; production of design details, calculations, and contract deliverables; collaboration with CAD/BIM teams; site visits as required; strong emphasis on technical excellence and sustainable engineering practices; offices in London, Glasgow or Bristol with hybrid working.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in civil or structural engineering
- Chartered with ICE or IStructE or an equivalent institution
- Post-graduate experience in a design environment
- Experience motivating, supervising, and coordinating project teams
- Familiarity with UK design standards, Eurocodes and CDM regulations
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Commitment to technical excellence
- Ability to produce analysis models, calculations, reports, and contract deliverables
- Experience with CAD/BIM and preparing 2D/3D design drawings
