Job Summary
Senior Engineer - BOP responsible for driving tooling cost competitiveness for Nissan supplier base. Manage RFQs, tooling quotations, and expert-level tool analysis/negotiation to ensure optimal costs. Evaluate tooling refurbishments/replacements to secure supply, maintain tooling cost tracking and purchase orders, and uphold Nissan quality standards. Requires postgraduate experience in die casting/tooling, HPDC and tooling shop-floor experience, strong cost-reduction and negotiation capabilities, and willingness to travel. Proficient in MS Office; strong communication and presentation skills; able to work in a team and deliver under tight deadlines. Renault Group context in the description is provided as background; role is focused on Toyota/Nissan tooling disciplines and supplier management within a high-volume automotive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate experience in a Die casting and general assembly Tooling environment (preferably Automotive or similar high volume industry)
- Shop floor experience in HPDC and equipment tool manufacturing and/or maintenance (HPDC Injection, Assembly equipment, Automation and mechatronics)
- Good understanding of various tool and Equipment design (Assembly techniques, time studies, automation technology and general tooling principles)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a confident presentation style
- Strong numerical skills for negotiation and analysis
- Ability to work effectively in a team with a flexible attitude and to meet tight deadlines
- Proven cost reduction experience using benchmarking/negotiation/COCA methods
- Willingness for national and international travel
- MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
