Job Summary
Senior Engineer within Aurecon's Power Generation team delivering utility-scale BESS and renewable energy projects across New Zealand and Australia. Deliver technical input across utility-scale BESS and renewable energy projects from feasibility through detailed design and delivery, coordinate with civil, structural, geotechnical and electrical specialists, support procurement activities, tender reviews and technical evaluations, undertake technical risk assessments and lender due diligence, review contractor and OEM documentation for compliance and design quality, and develop scopes, proposals and client-focused technical solutions. Bring an engineering qualification (ideally electrical) with 5+ years in power/renewable energy, strong knowledge of BESS and grid connection infrastructure, and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset to help deliver complex projects and support the transition to sustainable energy.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant engineering qualification, ideally electrical
- 5+ years’ experience within the power or renewable energy sector
- Experience with BESS projects and grid connection infrastructure
- Broad understanding of electrical infrastructure and power systems
- Strong problem-solving and technical communication capability
- Collaborative and innovative approach to project delivery
