Senior Engineer, ASIC Development Engineering (IP Verification )
On-site · Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Job Summary
Senior Engineer, ASIC Development Engineering (IP Verification) involved in designing complex logic blocks and IPs, performing RTL verification across block/IP/sub-system/SoC levels, and leveraging SystemVerilog/UVM for verification in a multidisciplinary FPGA/ASIC verification environment. Responsibilities include developing testbenches for constrained-random and metric-driven verification, debugging design issues, and coordinating with global teams. Proficiency with EDA tools (Cadence NCSim, SimVision, vManager; Mentor/Synopsys tools), FPGA-based verification, scripting in Perl/Python, and familiarity with protocols such as eMMC, UFS, USB, PCIe, and DDR4 are important, along with applying AI/ML techniques to improve verification workflows. The role requires a BE/ME in Electronics or related engineering, strong communication skills, and the ability to work across interfaces.
Required Qualifications

- 5 years of hands-on RTL verification experience at Block/IP/Sub-system/SoC levels
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog for verification; advanced experience with SVA and UVM is a strong advantage
- Deep knowledge of EDA tools such as Cadence NCSim, SimVision, vManager, and waveform-debug tools from Mentor/Synopsys
- Experience with FPGA-based verification environments
- SV-UVM-based simulation environments
- Skilled in developing testbenches for constrained-random and metric-driven verification
- Strong debugging capability and written communication
- Exposure to standard protocols (eMMC, UFS, USB, PCIe, DDR4) is an advantage
- Proficiency in Perl/Python scripting; ability to automate flows, logs, and regressions
- Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals as applied to hardware verification workflows
- Experience using ML techniques for regression triage, failure clustering, anomaly detection, or coverage prediction
- Excellent communication and collaboration across local and global teams
- Ability to coordinate across multiple interfaces within the organization
- Innovative mindset and openness to applying new technologies (AI/ML) to verification workflows
