Senior Engineer/Architect

Lead and oversee the design, analysis, and review of engineering or architectural projects within WMATA's infrastructure, preparing technical reports, drawings, and specifications in compliance with applicable codes. Collaborate with WMATA and project stakeholders to ensure design intent and performance expectations are met, while providing technical guidance and mentoring to project teams and junior staff. Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure timely completion, and participate in design review meetings, field visits, and coordination sessions with multidisciplinary teams. Support construction and inspection teams by addressing field-related technical issues and providing design clarifications. Requires a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architecture with a P.E. or R.A. license, minimum five years of relevant experience, and proficiency in design software.
