Job Summary
Senior Android Engineer on Strava’s Community Engagement team responsible for ownership of Android delivery for Strava’s community surfaces. Design and ship Android features from planning through delivery, partner with server engineers on shared implementations, collaborate with PMs and designers, contribute to code reviews, deliver medium-to-large scope projects with ownership, and mentor junior engineers. Requires strong Android engineering fundamentals (Kotlin, Jetpack, modern Android architecture), product-minded collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork. Experience with social/community features and large-scale consumer Android apps is a plus. Role follows a flexible hybrid model with more than half time on-site in Denver.
Required Qualifications
- Solid Android engineering fundamentals including Kotlin, Jetpack, and modern Android architecture patterns
- Experience delivering features end-to-end with ownership
- Ability to collaborate with PMs and designers and work across backend engineers
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
- Experience with social or community features (feeds, groups, challenges, notifications) is a plus
