Job Summary
Oversee design development, contract administration, and physical execution of construction initiatives, performing Title II quality assurance surveillance to ensure projects complete on schedule and under budget. Translate project briefs into detailed design estimates using RSMeans, review blueprints and shop drawings for errors, and conduct daily on-site inspections to verify workmanship and materials. Evaluate field conditions, draft cost estimates for change requests, and manage technical responses to RFIs while witnessing testing. Process work clearance documents, safety permits, and payment requests, updating as-built drawings in AutoCAD/Revit and preparing risk briefings for leadership. Requires a valid U.S. Government Secret clearance, Bachelor's degree in engineering, and 5+ years of commercial construction inspection experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid U.S. Government Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university or college
- 5 years or a combined total of 10 years of experience with commercial construction inspection preferably at a military installation
- Active OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification obtained within 90 days of hire
- Minimum of a Tier 3 clearance for any position that requires access to the internet, use of automated systems or controlled areas
- US Citizenship
- Real-time operational proficiency in AutoCAD (2024 or later)
- Real-time operational proficiency in Revit
- Real-time operational proficiency in RSMeans pricing databases
- Real-time operational proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Competent standard business English speaking and writing skills
- Capability to successfully meet and maintain local facility security access requirements
- Not required to lift more than 50lbs
