Senior EndoScope Repair Technician

Job Summary
Inspect, fault find, repair, and rebuild flexible endoscopes, performing major repairs on internal components, articulation systems, channels, and optical systems. Conduct final quality inspections and functional testing before release, ensuring all work adheres to OEM procedures and ISO standards. Maintain accurate job cards, parts usage records, and repair reports while troubleshooting complex failures to identify root causes. Support junior technicians in inspection and minor repair activities, assist in maintaining workshop tools and calibrated test equipment, and drive workshop quality standards. Mentor staff to improve repair quality, turnaround time, and efficiency. Apply for this role if you have a National Diploma or relevant qualification and 3+ years of specialist repair experience.
Required Qualifications
- National Diploma or relevant qualification in biomedical, electrical, electronics, or mechanical engineering
- 3+ years specialist repair experience
- 7+ years relevant scope technical repair experience
- Strong experience in flexible endoscope repair and rebuilds
- Good proficiency in MS Office suite
- Good understanding of medical device regulations
- ISO 13485 principles
- Controlled repair environments
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability
- Diagnostic capability for complex equipment failures
- Solution provision for equipment failures
Desired Qualifications
- OEM certification (preferably Olympus Corporation)
