Job Summary
Senior Encounters Analyst leading encounters operations across Medicaid and Marketplace lines of business, serving as business lead at the intersection of Finance, IT, Quality, Risk Adjustment, and Operations. Drive end-to-end validation of encounters creation/submission, design and implement dashboards and reporting in Power BI, and collaborate with risk adjustment, quality, IT, and external partners to ensure complete, accurate, and timely encounters reporting. Role influences regulatory compliance, financial performance, and strategic decision-making, and includes developing project plans, SOPs, and supporting state/federal reporting requirements. Requires healthcare data experience, strong SQL, data visualization skills, and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare data environment (preferably within a health plan)
- Experience with encounter data, healthcare claims, or healthcare reporting
- Strong SQL skills and experience analyzing large datasets
- Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business leaders and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven success collaborating across departments and with external partners
