Job Summary
Supervise and mentor EMTs on hybrid crews by providing training on triage, emergency procedures, and patient care protocols. Assess patient conditions through comprehensive physical examinations and administer full expanded BLS interventions including ASA, albuterol, CPAP, epinephrine, and PEEP. Operate and troubleshoot medical and communications devices such as AEDs, suction units, two-way radios, and mobile data terminals while driving emergency vehicles and performing patient lifts. Complete daily assigned duties including vehicle checks, washing, laundry, and trash removal. Requires three years of 9-1-1 experience, valid NJ/PA/NY EMT certification, and clean drivers license. Part-time or per diem shifts with 8 or 12-hour blocks.
Required Qualifications
- POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND WILLINGNESS TO TEACH OTHERS
- Three years 9-1-1 experience
- Clean, non-probationary drivers license
- Valid NJ/PA/NY EMT or NREMT certification
- Valid AHA, ARC or AHSI BLS CPR certification
- CEVO or EVOC certification
- Must be able to lift as needed during patient handling
- Must be available for 8 hour shifts (07:00-15:00 / 13:00-21:00)
- Must be available for 12 hour shifts (19:00-07:00)
- Must be available for block scheduling Jan-Apr, May-Aug, and Sept-Dec
- Must be willing to offer recurring shifts
