Job Summary
Senior Employment & Litigation Counsel responsible for leading WelbeHealth’s employment law strategy, managing employment litigation and pre-litigation matters, and providing strategic guidance to executives. Works on regulatory compliance across multi-state healthcare operations, leads internal investigations, drafts employment-related documents (policies, separation and arbitration agreements), supports training on compliance and risk awareness, collaborates with outside counsel, and contributes to a compliant, equitable workplace culture while partnering with leaders to mitigate risk and support a mission-driven organization.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited institution; state bar passage and in good standing
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a practicing attorney (law firm and in-house experience strongly preferred)
- Significant knowledge of relevant employment laws
- Proven ability to lead complex litigation and negotiations with minimum oversight
- Ability to proactively anticipate and identify legal issues and develop strategies and solutions
- Experience leading in a data-driven organization, leveraging reports and data to prioritize and manage people and projects
- Willingness and ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime
