Job Summary
Manage employee relations by proactively investigating issues, resolving conflicts, and coaching managers to ensure alignment with company policies and Ohio labor laws. Partner with business leaders on strategic HR initiatives, lead the development of HR policies, and support onboarding execution and recruitment activities. Serve as a subject matter expert on local workforce guidelines while assisting with compensation, benefits, and leave administration. Work full-time onsite in Dayton, OH, with up to 10% travel, collaborating across time zones to align with Pacific Time working hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of progressive HR experience, with a dedicated focus on employee relations and conflict management
- Thorough understanding of core HR principles, concepts, practices, and Ohio labor laws
- Proven track record of consultative HR experience, working autonomously to resolve complex challenges
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and objective coaching abilities
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time-management skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated discretion in handling highly confidential business matters and sensitive information
- Approachable, customer-focused, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (G-Suite) tools
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Dayton, OH, with up to 10% travel
- Flexibility to collaborate effectively across time zones, including aligning with Pacific Time working hours as needed
