Job Summary
Senior Employee Relations Consultant — 6 Month Contract. Provide timely employee relations advice to leaders and HRBPs; coach on complex matters including investigations, performance, attendance, accommodations, and terminations; lead end-to-end workplace investigations; assess risk and recommend strategies; manage communications with external counsel; advise on organizational changes with employment implications; identify trends and contribute to ER program improvements; develop ER policies and training materials; collaborate on cross-functional projects; bilingual requirement for Quebec; hybrid work arrangement with flexibility to split between office and virtual environments across Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related field
- 3+ years of progressive experience in employee relations, employment law, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment and human rights legislation and its practical application
- Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations and managing complex employee relations files
- Proven ability to influence and coach senior leaders on sensitive matters
- Strong judgment and ability to assess and mitigate legal and reputational risk
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly collaborative, client-focused, solutions-oriented approach
- Ability to manage competing priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec
