Job Summary
Senior Employee Relations Consultant on a 6-month contract. Lead end-to-end workplace investigations, provide practical ER advice to leaders and HRBPs, coach managers on complex matters including performance, attendance, accommodations, investigations, and terminations, assess risk and mitigate legal/reputational exposure, manage interactions with external counsel, support organizational changes, and contribute to ER policy/tool/training development. Collaboration across HR and Legal Support, with opportunities to participate in cross-functional projects. Requires post-secondary education in HR/IR/Law and 3+ years of ER experience; strong knowledge of Canadian employment and human rights laws; proficient communication; and bilingual capability for Quebec."
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law or related field
- 3+ years of progressive experience in employee relations or related field
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment and human rights legislation
- Experience conducting workplace investigations
- Ability to influence and coach senior leaders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingualism (French, English) for Quebec locale
